Meetings/Programme

Club meetings are held in the Landmark Centre, High Street, Deal, Kent, UK [map] at 7:30pm every Wednesday evening through the season (Sept – June). There is ample (free) parking in the nearby public car park [map].

Below is the programme of events for the year 2018/19.  This can also be downloaded into Outlook or Google calendars and  instructions for doing this are at the bottom of this page.

COMPETITION NOTES
Hand in date for all competition entries (unless otherwise stated) is the preceding Wednesday. You may submit up to 4 entries. The entries should be numbered 1 to 4 in order of preference. The competition will be restricted if the total number of entries is too great to be judged on one night. All entries must be labelled with your name and must have either a unique title or number. Please refer to Club Notice Board for any new entry conditions.

Panel Competitions
Hand in for the Panel competitions is on the preceding Wednesday. Titles are optional.
Print Panel
In each panel, you may submit a minimum of 3 and up to a maximum of 10 mounted prints. Members are asked to include a clear plan of how to display them. Each image should be labelled with your name.
Digital Panel
Each digital panel should be created as a single digital image that conforms to our standard format rules. Each panel is to be presented as 3 separate pictures arranged horizontally on a black background.
Imagination Competition
Imagination may be applied in the form of a novel photographic technique, an interesting take on a familiar subject or an unfamiliar treatment of a familiar subject.

To install the calendar into Outlook Calendars

  1. Open the File 2019 calendar  on this link –    2019 wordpress Calender
  2. Save the Excel file in CSV format to a location of your choice on your PC or mac.
  3. Open Outlook calendar
  4. Select File
  5. Select Open / Export
  6.  Select “Import from another program or file” then “next”
  7. Select “Comma Separated Values” the “next”
  8. Browse to find the saved CSV File
  9. If it is the first import select “Allow duplicates to be created” the “next”
  10. Select the calendar you are using from the drop down list. Then “next”
  11. Select the highlighted field starting “Import” so “Finish” is available to select. The mapping will be automatic.
  12. On selecting finish the information will download

To install the calendar into Google Calendars
1. Open the File named 2019 Calendar  on this link –   2019 Calender
2. Save the Excel file to a location you can find
3. Open Google calendar
4. Select the settings Icon in the top right corner
5. Select Settings
6. Select Calendars from under Calendar settings
7. Select “Import Calendar” ( left hand side half way down)
8. Browse to find the saved File
9. Select the correct Calendar to import to
10. Select “Import” to finish
